We supplied “Extremely Short Interface Forming Joint for Disaster Prevention: MC (Metal Corrugated) Joint”

for The Kisenuma Water and Sewer Department.

Material Selection Conditions for the replacement of existing joint at Tairagai Water Bridge are:

– Possible to replace in a small space from abutment to support ring.

– Lower dimension (interface and diameter) than existing joint and required the tolerance of disaster prevention.

According to such conditions, our newly developed product “MC joint” was adopted.

We realized MC joint as an “Extremely Short Interface” product by using unique forming bellows.

Since our product is welded only by metal material with integral structure, there is no need to concern about a complete airtightness or slip-out leakage and it contributes to a “toughening” of an aseismatic pipeline.

In addition, our product is appropriate for “crisis resistant” in a case of unexpected (critical phase) of water aseismatic design.

MC joint has flexibility of design which makes impossible piping to possible.
