While there still has been a controversy for nuclear power in Japan and energy development for next generation has been worked, the necessity of nuclear has been focused again in the world.
In COP28 on December 2023, 25 countries agreed to the declaration for making efforts to increase the capacity of
nuclear power plant in the world three times more until 2050.
In addition, the nuclear is specified in the document product of COP for decarbonization measures.
Since there is a respond to the trend in the world, Agency for Natural Resources and Energy
cooperated with related organization such as Ministry of Energy Local Economy,
Industry, Japan Atomic Industrial Forum, Inc., etc. and NSCP(Nuclear Supply Chain Platform) has been established.
In the platform, there are about 400 companies related to nuclear in Japan.
We also received a proporsal and decided to attend NSCP.
